International Association of Geomorphologists (IAG) – Regional Conference on Geomorphology
The 2027 IAG Regional Conference on Geomorphology will take place from 21–24 June 2027 in Taipei, Taiwan, under the theme “Dynamic Landscapes in a Tectonic and Climatic Nexus.”
The conference will bring together geomorphologists from around the world to discuss landscape evolution and the interactions between tectonic processes, climatic extremes and human activity. The programme will include keynote lectures, thematic sessions, poster presentations and field trips exploring Taiwan’s dynamic landscapes.
Important dates
- Session proposal deadline: 31 October 2026
- Abstract submission: 12 October–31 December 2026
- Notification of abstract review results: 31 January 2027
- Early-bird registration: 1 February–29 April 2027
- Conference: 21–24 June 2027
Pre-conference activities will include an Intensive Course for Young Geomorphologists in Taiwan and an optional field trip in Tokyo from 17–20 June 2027. Post-conference field trips across Taiwan will take place from 25–27 June 2027. Financial support and registration-fee waivers will be available for selected young geomorphologists, with priority given to applicants from less-developed countries.
